I created this blog site after the hurricane. There needed to be a central place to exchange information. Residents that left could not get in contact with management to determine the status of the property. I was very disappointed in the way management handled the situation and the way they continue to manage the property.

Management left a notice on the computer/rec room door three days after the hurricane stating no damage was done. A week later they stated that a catastrophic event had occurred and the units were unlivable, find temporary housing. The next day the power was on and the units were livable.

We have not been given any information on the extent of damage. Nor the cost of the repairs. Two days ago an inspector went condo to condo doing inspections. The only way I know this is I was at home. I do not want anyone in my home without permission. I do not want a surprise increase in the current HOA fees or a bulk sum due to pay for these repairs. Without having any input or information on what and who is doing the repairs.

The Board is now trying to tell us where to park. They do not have enough garage gate openers so they are encouraging people to drive in behind someone. There has already been problems with break ins and theft on level two of the garage. So allowing anyone to drive in and the seclusion of the lower level makes it a perfect spot for break in and assaults. Speaking of assaults, did you know there was one in the computer/rec room?

The Board had to come up with a "parking resolution" after I questioned their last attempt to dictate parking. The first few paragraphs state that the Board can do whatever they want to. They have ALL THE POWER. The board deemed it necessary to establish these parking rules and regulation.

At 70 % of ownership the Board was to be made up of owners of condo... we have to be there by now.

A list in the elevators tells us of our responsibilities..What about their responsibility to the current owners. We pay each month for them to look out for OUR best interest.

Who is this Board??

The New Blog

This blog has been setup to help the residents of Valencia come together and voice our opinions on the conditions and the managing of our condos. I hope that this will help everyone gain knowledge and make the Valencia a better place to live. Please feel free to post your comments and concerns. Hopefully, by working together we can improve our community.
